What this site is

WaterHeaterTrace is an independent reference that decodes water-heater age, serial numbers, warranty, and recall information from manufacturers' date-code rules. We do not sell water heaters, parts, or service, and we are not affiliated with any manufacturer.

Using the site and data

You may read, link to, and quote short passages with attribution. The decoder logic, editorial text, page templates, and the WaterHeaterTrace wordmark are the property of NMajor Studios LLC. Manufacturer manuals, diagrams, wiring diagrams, photographs, and spec sheets are the manufacturers' property — we link to the official versions and never republish them. Please don't republish this site as your own.

No warranty — results are estimates

This site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Serial-number age decodes are estimates derived from manufacturer date-code patterns that change over time and can be misread; warranty terms, recall ranges, specs, and manual links may be incomplete or out of date. This is not professional, safety, installation, or repair advice. Do not rely on it for repair, replacement-part, gas, electrical, warranty, or safety decisions without confirming against the manufacturer or a licensed professional. For recalls, always confirm with the official CPSC notice and the manufacturer's recall line.
