We collect very little. Here is the exact list — what we process, where it goes, and what we don't do.
What we collect
When you submit the contact form, we receive your name, your reply email, the topic you picked, and your message. The Cloudflare Worker that handles the form sees your IP address and User-Agent as part of normal web requests. Cloudflare Turnstile issues a one-time human-verification token that we check and do not store. That is the entire list of personal data we process.
The information behind the decoder pages — date-code rules, specs, recall ranges — is sourced from manufacturers and public references and rendered on the page. It is not user data.
Analytics
We use Rybbit, a self-hosted, cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool, loaded from rybbit.nmajor.net (operated by the site owner). It records aggregated, non-identifying page-view data — no third party receives it, and it sets no cookies. We do not run advertising and do not use cross-site trackers.
Analytics respects your browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals automatically. To opt out on a device, set disable-rybbit=1 in your browser's local storage for this site. (Cloudflare may set a __cf_bm cookie at the network layer for bot management; that is Cloudflare's edge, not us.)
Where contact messages go
The form posts to a Cloudflare Worker, which submits your message to a self-hosted Chatwoot instance at chatwoot.nmajor.net. A real person reads every message. No third party sees it, and we do not sell or share contact submissions.
Your rights
If you submitted a message and want it deleted, use the contact form to ask and we will remove it. EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA) rights apply through the same path — access, correction, erasure. We do not sell personal information.
